My name is Nichelle Stephens, and I consider myself a Southern boomerang. Prior to moving to Savannah seven years ago, I lived in Birmingham, Atlanta, Cincinnati, and New York City. I have worked as a bookkeeper, server, and social media strategist. I have been writing online for fifteen years.
I have lived in the Thomas Square neighborhood for seven years, and I served on the board of the neighborhood association from 2017 to 2019. I am also the founder of a local Facebook Page, Gnatty Savannah. In 2019, I was a Code for America fellow for the Savannah Brigade. I do stand-up comedy. I host a monthly comedy show at White Whale Craft Ale.
Hello! I’m Tiffany. Born and raised in north Georgia but truly came into my own through travel and living all over the World. My partner & I moved to Savannah from Paris when COVID-19 lockdowns trapped us in the US (we were eventually able to return and get our things!). And after two years of getting to know Savannah, we decided to take the plunge of commitment and purchased a home in the Metropolitan neighborhood.
I read too much of the Internet and love new experiences, which my friends and family benefit from in the form of “Tiffany Tours.” And as an avid reader, I tend to always find myself near books in some way: library volunteer, bookstore creeper (occasionally an employee), or book club organizer. Always down to philosophize about travel, books, and the future.
Together, we are proud to present The 31401: a resource for people living and working in Savannah that shines light on cool people, places, things, and the stuff that’s just good to know.
