Savannah Jazz Festival
We jazz September. The annual Savannah Jazz Festival starts tomorrow, September 18th. There will be 17 FREE shows and four ticketed events. Forsyth Park is hosting free shows Friday (starting at 5pm) and Saturday (starting at 1:45pm), and there are free shows Sunday (starting at 2pm) at the J.W. Marriott Riverside. Unfortunately, the Latin Dance night at Ships of the Sea Museum on Wednesday is not free; tickets are $25.
Special Election
Tuesday, September 19 is the Special Election for District 2 County Commissioner (seat left vacant by the late Larry ‘Gator’ Rivers). Much of the 31401 zip code falls into District 2 (confirm if it applies to you here).
Confirm your voting precinct here. For this election only, the Hellenic Center voting precinct has temporarily moved to Bull Street Baptist Church.
