Art School for the Rest of Us
Do you ever wish you could go to art school, but don’t have the time or money? The affordable classes and workshops at the Savannah Cultural Arts Center might be just what you are looking for!
Registration is open for the new session beginning October 17th. Residents (adults and children) of the City of Savannah receive a discounted rate, and financial assistance is available to children as well. A single workshop begins at $10; 8-week courses start at $60. Topics and mediums include abstract painting, musical theater dance, Brazilian percussion, ceramics, and so much more.
First City, First Wednesday
Don’t panic if you hear a loud siren at lunchtime this Wednesday. The first Wednesday of every month is when Chatham Emergency Management Agency (CEMA) conducts the monthly siren testing at noon. Also, check out CEMA Hurricane Preparedness checklist.
