Wag-o-ween, Pride, SCAD Film Fest and Chappelle’s Return
The Week That Was
Sunday night, a small private plane crashed in a Midtown neighborhood. Tuesday, early voting started. Savannah residents are showing up and showing out at early voting locations around the city. Tree removal is happening all across Savannah because Helene is still wreaking havoc with the city’s tree canopy. Saturday, there was a tragic collapse of the ferry dock at Sapelo Island killing seven people.

Thursday, October 24
Dave Chappelle @ Johnny Mercer・$200 -$1100 8PM
Long time Savannahians will tell you about the time Dave Chappelle did a free set at the Wormhole seven years ago. Now he’s back and if you don’t mind spending a lot to see his comedy and locking your phone up for a few hours, then go.
The Weekend October 26-27
Pride Festival @ Forsyth Park
This year’s theme is “Barbie in Park” so expect a lot of pink. The festival will feature food trucks, a Pride vendor market and more. Most of the events will be at the park and the official after party will be at Club One.Savannah State Homecoming Weekend
In addition to a parade that will go downtown on Saturday , there’s a football game as Savannah State hosts Lane College for their homecoming game. Go Tigers!
Wag-o-Ween at Various Locations
A ticket/wristband per dog must purchased by their human to collect treats for the doggies. I would suggest following WagoweenSavannah on Instagram to find out the locations around Savannah.
October 26-November 2
SCAD Film Festival at Various Locations
The SCAD Film Festival is the largest university-run film festival in the world. There will be screenings, talks, panel discussions and more.

Be A Good Ambassador of The Hostess City
There will be plenty of people ready to party next weekend. Be a good ambassador to our visitors. Don’t recommend places that are no longer cool/good/safe. Go beyond Congress St. If you haven’t been in the last six months or never been, then don’t recommend it to strangers. Also, remind people to make reservations. Savannah restaurants can better accommodate guests if they know how many people are coming in. Check Resy not Reddit.
