The Week That Was
Welcome to the one new subscriber that joined this week. Now that the dust has settled from Halloween and Hollywood (SCAD Film Fest) we can enjoy the most wonderful time to be in Savannah. The sound of acorns crackling under your feet as you walk on the city sidewalks is one of the best things about autumn here. I am looking forward to fire pits and fall weather.
If you are looking for something to do instead of doom-scrolling on your phone and watching cable news, then spend some time baking this week. Pick up a copy of Cheryl Day’s cookbook, Treasury of Southern Baking, and bake some cookies.

Just a head’s up. Next Monday is Veterans Day, so throw out that old food in your fridge this week because the trash collection will be a day later next week. There will be a parade to honor veterans on November 11th. The next Comedy Variety will be Tuesday, November 12th. SCAD students will be leaving on a jet plane in two weeks because SCAD’s fall quarter ends on November 14th.
