Countdown To The Busy Season
It may be the dog days of August, but in a few weeks the city will be busy with Labor Day, SCAD students, music festivals, Pride and more. This week is a perfect time to rest. Sleep in. Do a sober week. Read a book.
3 Questions with Candice Parker
When is your Savannahversary?
I came to the Thomas Square neighborhood in March of this year. I decided to move here to be closer to family. I’ve had low vision for about 5 years now. Since moving to Savannah, I have been able to gain the most success since losing the better half of my vision. I love going to the beach, museums, and coffee shops.
What are two things you love about Savannah and one thing you wish were better?
I absolutely love strolling around Savannah, taking in the breathtaking architecture and admiring the beautiful buildings. It’s a feast for the eyes! I also love being able to enjoy all of the beautiful parks. It would be so great if the sidewalks and crosswalks could be more accessible to everyone!
What are you excited to share with others?
I have always had a deep love for animals! I have previously worked as a vet tech and a dog daycare specialist. Since moving to Savannah, I have decided to extend my pet care services to the community. Through Keeping SAV-y I offer dog daycare, boarding, in-home care, and much more! Your furry friends deserve the purr-fect one-on-one care without the stress of a crowded boarding facility. I give the individual attention they deserve in the comfort of their own homes or mine!
