Spring Cleaning
It’s a great week to clean out your closets! Lite Foot Company has a couple of ways to help you sustainably get rid of unwanted clothing & fabrics:
Upcycling Competition with SCAD Slow Fashion Club
Through Thursday, April 6
Donate unwanted clothing & fabrics, in particular those unwearable items with stains & holes. Donated items will be upcylced in an upcoming competition.
Spring Clothing Swap with Starland Swap
Wednesday, April 5・5-6pm・$5 in advance
Exchange clothes by bringing up to 8 items in advance of the swap; all remaining items after 6pm are $1
Glass Recycling
The City of Savannah brought back glass recycling this year, which is included in your water & sanitation bill. Learn what is and is not accepted here; and remember when in doubt, throw it out. More drop-off locations have been added since February with the closest ones to the 31401 being:
Savannah Fire Station 9 on Capital St
Behind Barnes Restaurant on Waters Ave (enter from E 67th St)
Congregation Agudath Achim on Lee Boulevard
If you would prefer curbside service, you can pay for a membership to locally-owned Lammergeier Closed-Loop Glass Recycling.
