Connect On The Dot
The dot Shuttle expanded to Victory back on October 31st last year, so we have had about six months to see how well the new route is being received. Route 7F runs from Bryan Street near Johnson Square down to Thomas Square. The shuttle runs south along Whitaker to Victory and north along Drayton to downtown. It is free. Although the service is daily, the weekend schedule is shorter which makes it not as good for people who work downtown in the hospitality industry. Visitors to the city often take the shuttle if they know about it, but it's important for locals to use it as well. The shuttle is supposed to run every ten minutes, and the CAT Tracker is a mobile app that Chatham Area Transit created to let riders know when the shuttle is arriving. There's chatter that the service may be reduced due to the low ridership. If you do ride the dot, email info@catchacat.org to let Chatham Area Transit know that you appreciate the service.
All Local Fest
This week marks the return of the free bi-annual UnderGo Festival. Hosted by local musical act Lulu the Giant, this 2-day festival is an inclusive, family-friendly event showcasing Savannah music and art. Lots of fun to be had with a slip-n-slide, fire performances, slam poetry, instrument painting, and more.
Held on the marshy grounds of RE:Purpose Savannah, bring blankets and a picnic or purchase food and libations from local vendors.
Friday, April 21 yard opens at 4pm. Last show at 9:15pm.
Saturday, April 22 yard opens at 11am. Last show at 10pm.
